Guys, I can't believe it!

What a party. What a bunch of friends. What prizes and what winners!

The party team, headed by @PepiSmartDog, and with @MagieTKat helming the quiz masters, rocked the socks off the partygoers as DJ's played tunes and barktenders dispensed the superb range of drinks and noms provided by @PuppyNumber7. GUys, we are making a difference, a real difference here.

At the moment we have an auction for two cat statuettes handmade by @TomCatSamurai himself. He is an artist of rare talent and without the stresses of his recent past - I hope he will blossom! Check the auction HERE!

Hi guys, I hope your Christmas was a good one, a safe one and a quiet one unless you had the fambly 'round to visit MOL!!

We have had the hottest, sunniest Christmas for 40 years so Mum is told, which is pawsome for us kitties when we lounge in the shade but Mum DOES put sunscreen on my ears as I am a pale cat * sigh * still she did it since I was a kitten so I'm OK after a moment and I forget it.

Catmaseve Pawty News

The above pendant was one of the prizes at the the Catmaseve pawty run by @GeorgetheDuck. It was given to me by Sue Tyler (@styler - shop) who is a talented crafter. Mum was delighted to donate it to George's hugely successful fundraiser for Black Cat Rescue here and we are proud to have been able to make a difference both with our prizes and a monetary donation.

Mum has a couple more of Sue's beautiful pendants that will appear in future fundraisers including the one for @TomCatSamurai early in January.

Mum is pleased she just made her 100th sale on Etsy, it is going to her lovely Twitter pal @Cheriswan! Mum will add a little special treat to her 100th customer I suspect * grin *.

This gorgeous batik kitty is heading to @Pumpkinpuddy. The colours are just so lovely and the eyes are pawsome! A donation from each Kitty sale has gone to help our friends in need.

Puddy was also our NotSoSecret Santa this year and Mom and I surprised her fur family with some nippy giftys. I am no good at secrits to added a little hello note in the parcel * rolls eyes * Ooops.

Puddy and her fambly were fun to buy for. I keep watching the post in case I get a SekritSanta too.

Friends, the demands on our time and money increase as Christmas approaches. However, I would ask for your patience as I bring to your attention a cause of utmost urgency. My information comes via @MariodaCat & @PepiSmartDog two of Twitter's most honourable and honest anipals and Mario's Mom and Pepi's Mom have been working hard and to draft the text on the chip-in.

Many of you on Twitter will know Tom, his presence is a smile and a ray of sunshine of joy to his Twitter pals, we value his optimism and encouragement. So finding that he is in desperate straits was a profound shock. He needs * checks written note * an Advocate and funds for rehoming him and his mom.

I have started to use it and I know friends from Twitter have been using it too. It needs our help, they have to pay to keep our beloved Fursbook the way it is as it's on Ning, a separate site to Facebook proper. This is me, I am just about to costomise my page a bit!

Friends, it is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Sheila, beloved kitty of Lillian and Spooky. Sheila was the recipient of our recent lion fundraiser and we were so proud to help try and save her. Our condolences go to Spooky and his Mom who snatched Sheila from the clutches of the local ACC when her original paw-parent passed on sometime ago. @PepiSmartDog is going to guide her across the Rainbow Bridge and show her around - she is at peace now, she does not suffer but - Oh My Paws - Sheila will be missed.

OK Mum and I have been busy, we have been caught up in stressful things, but we are lucky, Mum has us all insured so if we get sick we can go to the vet. We are thankful for this.

We are also grateful for the many people who have been supporting our raffle appeal for our own Lion King. Spooky and his Mom Lillian needed our help and this seemed a fun way to fund raise. We are thankful for this support.

GUYS!!! May I introduce the Lion King - the prize in our raffle fundraiser for Sheila the cat's eye surgery - any residue going to brofur @Spookyshorty's ongoing chemo treatment. The Lion King was designed by fellow doll creative Michelle Munzone and made by Whskr. Picture of Sheila at the botton of this post.

How to join the fun and maybe WIN the Lion King :-

To enter the raffle you donate via the Chip-In on the right-hand side of the page.

Tickets: $1.50 each or 6 for $5 - The $1.50 options allows people on a limited budget a chance to buy a ticket too.

As raffle tickets are purchased, Spooky's Mum Lillian will record the donors and the number of tickets bought. At the end of the week a draw will be made and the raffle prize awarded. Shipping is being donated by Mum (Marjorie) who wants to see Sheila well and happy.

Estimate of costs involved in Sheila's eye treatment : $1,285 (possible extra nights stay are $130) and cash is requested up front. Spooky's chemo costs are for six months blood tests ($150) UltraSound $450 Chemo upwards of $500. We have posted the current chip in as an estimate not an exact figure as much depends on how well Sheila and Spooky get on.

Sheila's Story - or Why We Are Here (by her Mom Lillian)

"Sheila was my neighbor's cat who I took care of her when ever he went away. Some time ago he went away to hospital and I took care of Sheila. After his return his condition got worse he was getting dialysis about 3-4 days a week. Suddenly, he was found by another neighbor lying in the doorway of his apartment, he was taken into the hospital but passed away.

Sheila almost got sent to the ACC had I not stepped in and asked if I could take her. It took me 3 days to try and coax her out! She took about a month to get used to my other kitties where she hid out most of the time. Sheila is still very shy, until she gets to know you then she loves to be petted & rubbed.

She remains the loner but she loves to play even now with her eye all swollen and full of pus she loves to swat things around and jump up on things."

Lion King details :-

First and foremost, I must stress that this is NOT a TOY, it is a soft sculpture, an art doll. He was designed by Michelle Munzone who created a magnificent character Mum just fell in love with.

This magnificent Lion King is made from doll velour and has a slightly fuzzy feel which is perfect for our Mane Man! He stands about 12 inches/30 cms high. His claws are made from gold dimensional paint and glitter dangerously!

Our regal monarch's face is hand modelled and painted with whiskers of transparent thread while his costume is made from silk, hand dyed by me, and silver 'pleather' heavily embellished with beading and vintage brocade. These motifs carry on through his antastical collar of office. The unique hand dyed silk also lines his faux fur cape. The finishing touch is his staff made from a magnificent recycled rosewood knitting needle, which is not shown as its still drying. Picture to follow SOON.

I have been told by mum that I have to come and apologise for going missing and making all my Twitter pals worry. Mum says she was worried because I have never seen snow before, we just DON'T get snow here EVER. She was worried my smell landmarks had gone as I can't see very well.....

This is a 'once in a lifetime' thing so the local newspapers say. Well all I can say is it's not brilliant, it's cold, it's damp and it stops me going out what I love to do - explore and play. It is, so mum tells me a Polar Blast coming straight from the Antarctic, these are most unusual but, as there is nothing between us and the Antarctic (go on check a map, see if you can find New Zealand, I dare you!!!) I am surprised it doesn't happen each year...

Safe and sound back at home.

Anyway, I digress. I was the cause of much concern on Twitter because I went AWOL. I am sorry, I did not mean to cause so much upset.

Mom donated a necklace to his Facebook fundraising auction and we just noticed new items have been uploaded you might like to know about. One is a Bamboo Drawing Tablet here and the other is an iPod Nano here. The Nano has hit $70 but the Tablet has just gone up so only has an opening suggested bid of $25.

You can see from Michelle's post here, that Aiden takes the meds monthly. Will you help mum and I to get Aiden's medicine for her? We know Fuzzy is 100% honest, and provides receipts, although donations are not tax deductible at present.

Note if you have more time to read :- Fuzzy is also fund raising for two cat neuters but Aiden's need is urgent. There is a lot of information on her blog and Michelle is always 100% honest about her activities, her actions and her faith and will answer any question openly and honestly. She is in the middle of a big change at the moment, moving out of rented accommodation (owner foreclosed upon) to another place and her cat family is taking a little longer to move although she is searching ceaselessly for a new safe site for the cat pens.

OK Guys, time to strike a serious note. Mum and I are pals with Brian Frum of ForeverHome and Brian's regular blog. We often RT his news bulletins as they are helpful and informative as well as useful in circulating news of animals in need.

Brian has news of two animals in need. They have been there weeks and weeks and things are getting desperate. Lil Em and Sapphire are stuck in a hot garage in South Carolina and they need out. Sapphire has an enlarged kidney but one of the comments notes that this should not be an issue, as she still has the other one. They are unwilling and unhappy victims of a divorce.

Full details are here. They need our help and I would consider it a great favour if you could share the link to Brian's article to everyone and anyone who might have the slightest smallest hope of helping.

Please, I know times are tough. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a home, or good mom. I am going to get an update on the exact situation from Brian today.

Hi guys. Mum and I stopped by the #Senior Dogs event this past week-end. I hope everyone enjoyed the wonderful company, tho' Mum was trying to work, shop with Dad and tweet simultaneously!!

Now for another adventure! Operation FuzzyMice (OFM) is fostering a small kitten; found by a local church member, who Mum and I had the honour of naming. We have decided on Zachary. Here's a sideshow of our tiny pal Zach (fur short!). He is very small.

The lady who found him has seizures and I reckon having a tiny kitty around might be kind of risky - right? So, Fuzzy stepped in until he can be found a home. Mum said to let you know that this is not OFM usual practice as it is not a rescue but faced with an orphan, a decision was made to do a temporary foster. I mean, look at the little guy..........

Zach - made it through his first night!

Mum and I are fundraising for Zachary's formula ($25) now an essential part of Operation FuzzyMice expenses. There is a cheap formula but Fuzzy's previous experience indicates that kittens do not thrive on this (cheap filler not nourishment). To help us help Zach, the chip in is on the right, all expenditure is recorded, all receipts for food, gas etc., are photographed for donors to guarantee transparency and honesty.

Mum and I are proud to help Fuzzy, we hope you can too.

All of a sudden Daphne is no longer wanted. No longer loved. Why? Because her so-called parents have a baby and baby pulls at Daphnew so she defends herself as best she can. Some barbarian declawed (winces) poor Daphne and now she has been thrown out, abandoned - and hides in a shelter scard to death, upset and damned lonely because SUDDENLY she is NOT WANTED anymore.

Sorry, pals. I am very upset about this. Alone, no family anymore, after 11 YEARS of being loved. I mean WTF??? Please - if you know anyone in Austin Texas, send them HERE. We need to find this scared girl a loving LOVING home.

OK pals I am sending out this message as part of the appeal from Tsitter pal Tiger Tommy aka @TheNascarKitty. he's been a good pal to me so I am happy to pass this appeal on.

He says :-

Berlin, Wisconsin, Pugs and Doodles are 2 year old brother dogs. They are house dogs used to a lot of people and small children. Their human Mom has to leave quick...she is in an abusive marriage and is getting out of the house. She can't take her beloved dogs, but can''t bear to see them split up.

If somebody doesnt take them, they will end in the shelter with an uncertain future, because there is no other option for this lady, She has a 9 year old daughter and simply has to get away from the abuse.

Please let anybody you know who may beinterested in two great doggies know. Pictures will be available tomorrow.

Pugs is tall, perhaps the size of a smaller doberman, he appears to have some golden lab, maybe a little german shephard, in him. He's pretty active, would love to run and play and take walks, but also to snuggle on the couch.

Doodles is short with short legs, even though they are littermates, they are very different. Doodles is a little smaller than a Cocker Spaniel, but very solidly built. He's got some basset hound, golden lab, and it looks like a little Shar-Pei in him.

Neither is fixed, and they probably need updated shots, but the abusive spouse in this situation didn't leave much for the humans much less that pets. Luckily Mom always found a way to keep them well fed, and I'm sure they were a security blanket for her.

She is very worried about them being seperated, so please let's find them a forever home together!!

Mum had so much fun I could hear her laughing from out in the garden while I played! I don't know what she was up to but I heard 'Ooh noes' and ;Aggh that was an RT' coming out of the window * rolls eyes *. I reckon she had a good time which is fun AND Mum says that she won an pawtrait from the most marvelous artist lady. Check the lady out here - Mum is totally paw-struck!!

Mum says this was something special, everyone had the most fun time and we want to conCATulate our wonderful pal on her marvelous event.

Anipals of the world, (including Hubble SpacePaws who I accidentally nearly deleted MOL!!). This Thursday is going to be the focus of our Paws for Japan fund raiser - this is massively important for us pals.

All over the world anipals joined Rumblepurr and I to raise funds for anipals in Christchurch - they came from Twitter, from animal groups on Yahoo, from places that never even heard of Twitter and helped so much we raised over $2,000US which was gratefully received.! Now our help is needed for the animals of Japan.

@FrugalDougal the #pawty organiser has this to say : ".... this year instead of celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the PawPawty on St Patrick's Day on 17th March with a pawty, we will be supporting a day long Paws for Japan event which will take the form of blogging, tweeting and facebooking to raise awareness of the work carried out by World Vets."

So my blog post today is to urge you, and everyone you know to share your gift giving for Japan, allocate a little bit of it to the World Vets Appeal (see the Chip In on the left hand side - no... up a bit.... see the box marked Japan Animal Aid - That's it!
