* deep breff, begins to type *
Friends, everyone of you.
Thank you more than words can say for all of your support while my Aunty Little 'Un is very ill. We know she will not get better, but, each day she is here is a joy and we all love her very much.
She has great days and not so great days and every time Mum logs on to Twitter you guys are checking on us, making sure we are OK and coping during this stressful time. Sometimes Mum seems to be running flat out on empty, other times she works and is fine, I guess our Little 'Un governs that part heh? It keeps Mum sane working on our up-coming pawty for Spooky, giving back some of the love we are given in abundance by our dear pals.
Thanks, every one.
Dash

A Street Cat Named Bob - the book
* gathers notes up in paw and sits down to type *
Hi folks! Today is the first of our Friday book reviews. Some will be new books, some older ones that I want to bring to the attention of new readers! There will be a review, with details about publisher and editions at the bottom of the review. Ok let's go.....
A Street Cat Named Bob - Hodder and Stoughton
This is a good book. Not only is it a great story about how an handsome ginger tom finds a loving home, it's a story about a life tuned around with love and hope. In the book James has already travelled a long journey into darkness, he recounts this concisely, and with honesty, as part of his tale. It allows us to see where James came from and just how great the impact of Bob would be on his life.
We see the effect Bob makes on James and his busking (street performance) in Covent Garden, London; their daily life and times in the capital, their struggles and their triumphs. We can all relate to 'The Longest Night' where Bob goes missing and James realises just how terrible this loss might be - and the moment when James realises he is strong enough to go 'clean' with Bob by his side.
This is an heartwarming, clear-eyed and honest tale about how a cat turned around a life that was going nowhere, and gave it focus and hope. Whatever James and Bob do now - I wish them a safe, happy and peaceful life.

Thankful FUR 3 Blog Hop - Brian's Blog Hop
* tap tap - hello everyone? Hello there tap tap *
I am taking part in Brian's blog hop this week and want to say hello. This will be going up a bit late due to the #NipClub and FuzzyMice post. I hope Brian forgives me taking so long * looks over to Brian's blog *
Mum and I am thankful we are together. Wind and rain may come, sunshine may follow but even though I think my sisfur's and aunties take up waaay too much room and attention from me (OK joking MOL!!!) I am glad they are here safe. Mum even let's me get away with bringing in skinks and stuff - that's cool from a Mom eh?
