UPDATE : -
We have heard from Tara, who was dealing with the kitty, that there is an adoption in the offing and the sweet old ginger may have a forever home waiting for him.  I have asked Tara to let me know iffen there is any news or the adoption falls through - but so far so good. 

Guys, anyone know pals in Salt Lake City, Utah in the USA who might be able to help.  This lady has spotted a cat whose owner has died.  Relatives don't give a monkeys cuss so the poor mite is at risk of being PTS or left to starve. Jeesh which is worse.......  Please, pass this on.  I will yell about this until I am hoarse OK...............

Rest in Peace Little 'Un

Little 'Un 1998 - 25th October 2012

Ladies and gentlepals, it is with the heaviest of hearts I announce that Little 'Un has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  She is the most exceptional cat that Mum and Dad, and my fur family have ever, ever known.

She came to us as a small stray, settled in, bringing with her a short while later Cuzz-Wuzz (short for Terrified Cousin) and they both settled in as members of the family.  Being such a tiny thing, we did not realise she was a young mum until the kittens arrived! According to the 'having kittens' book "The queen will not leave the kittens for the first 24 hours....." No-one told Little 'Un who was out bright and early patrolling her patch.  Thankfully Cuzz-Wuzz was a fabulous surrogate mum!

When we moved to New Zealand on 2006 Little 'Un settled in just fine and until her last weeks always delighted in rolling on her back on the paved patio at the back of the house. We still smile about that now.

Nothing ever bothered our girl Little 'Un, vets, catteries, strangers. She took it all in her stride with a calm demeanour and attitude.  We will miss her more than I can ever say, her stumping little walk, her skipping down to the patio to enjoy the sun, lounging in her dad's office in the best sunpuddle on her tartan bed.

The support from Twitter friends has been immense and kept Mum sane. There will be a ride by the #BBOT (Bad Boys of Twitter) and the #PA (Pink Angels) at 6pm New York Time. My thanks go to @FreshOtis for the honour and @Cats_Meows for spreading the word.

@DylCat1 and @Isagold have been kind enough to set up a candle group for Little 'Un it is here.

There is a beautiful poem by Ingrid Trinka here. It is a farewell peom of great beauty that brings peace. Not sentimental it has a solemn beauty.

Friends, everyone of you.

Thank you more than words can say for all of your support while my Aunty Little 'Un is very ill.  We know she will not get better, but, each day she is here is a joy and we all love her very much.

She has great days and not so great days and every time Mum logs on to Twitter you guys are checking on us, making sure we are OK and coping during this stressful time.  Sometimes Mum seems to be running flat out on empty, other times she works and is fine, I guess our Little 'Un governs that part heh?   It keeps Mum sane working on our up-coming pawty for Spooky, giving back some of the love we are given in abundance by our dear pals.

Little 'Un News #Pawcircle

* Swallows hard ...... takes a breath.... starts to type *

 Fiesty Little 'Un in healthier times

Guys, Mum and Dad just took Little 'Un to the vet, she has not been well, in spite of rallying wonderfully after her toe op.  #Pawcircle has kept her, and our spirits up, but her recent decline worried us so Mum and Dad took her for a quick check up.

Vet thinks it is bone cancer spread into her paw.  She has steroids, and some antibiotics - to ease the pain and keep her appetite up.  Little 'Un is a little old lady and each day she is now with us is a blessing and a joy - we love her very much and have so many wonderful happy times to treasure.

We don't know how long we have - EACH DAY IS A JOY.  Mum has a breaking heart and Dad too but, for now our beloved girl, Aunty Little 'Un, our adventurer, our jet setter is still here.
